Led projects across the data lifecycle as the sole Data Scientist at the startup: sensor integration, signal processing, controls and automation, image processing, software development, database management, web dashboarding, statistical testing and machine learning.
Collaborated with interdisciplinary teams to utilize regression, time-series analysis, and signal processing in Python and R, to enhance seed treatment processes. Designed algorithms and led experiments, utilizing image processing, machine learning and hypothesis testing for process optimization and automation, accelerating product development by weeks and securing a major competitive edge for the startup.
Created eight Python-based applications for reactor automation and data entry, integrating real-time visualization with Plotly, resulting in a 5x process acceleration. Designed a spectral data analysis tool in Python, enabling R&D to gauge crucial gaseous concentrations for process refinement.
Streamlined and centralized vast Excel datasets into a unified MySQL database on AWS RDS, achieving a 6-fold memory storage reduction.
